What is EFIN?

EFIN (Electronic Filing Identification Number) is a unique identification number issued by the Indonesian Directorate General of Taxes (DGT). It is required for individuals and companies to access the online tax system (DJ Online) and file their tax returns electronically.

  • Expatriates: Foreigners holding NPWP (Tax ID Number) must also register EFIN to comply with tax reporting rules

EFIN Registration Process in Bali

  1. Prepare Documents
    • NPWP (Taxpayer Identification Number)
    • ID Card (KTP) for Indonesians
    • Passport & KITAS/KITAP for expatriates
    • Company documents (if registering for a business)
  2. Submit to Local Tax Office (KPP)
    The taxpayer (or authorized representative) must apply in person at the tax office.
  3. Receive EFIN Activation
    Once approved, you will receive your EFIN, which is used to activate your DJP Online account.
